Details
Chicken gado gado is a flavorful Indonesian meal with tender chicken, crunchy vegetables, and a creamy peanut sauce. The combination of savory, fresh, and slightly spicy makes for a delicious Oriental meal.
Fun fact: gado gado literally means ‘mix-mix’ in Indonesian, because the dish consists of various vegetables, toppings, and peanut sauce.
Ingredients
Eggs (egg), chicken thighs, pandan rice, green beans, cucumber, bean sprouts, fried onions (gluten, wheat), pointed cabbage, prawn crackers (crustaceans), soy sauce (soy, gluten, wheat), sambal, coconut milk, brown soft sugar, and peanut butter (peanut).
Heating instructions
Microwave: remove the lid and cover, for example with a microwave lid. Heat for 2–3 minutes at 800 W. Stir or shake and heat for another 30–60 seconds if necessary.
Pan: heat gently in a pan with a small dash of oil or butter, until the desired temperature is reached.
Oven: heat in an oven dish for 15–30 minutes at 150 °C. Covering it prevents drying out.
